What triggers the daily charge?

  • Making an outgoing call
  • Receiving an incoming call

Receiving SMS messages does not trigger the daily charge.

What's included in the daily pass?

  • Use of your UK bundled minutes, texts and data allowance in the included destinations
  • Calls back to the UK
  • Calls within the country you are visiting
  • Incoming calls and texts
  • Voicemail and emergency calls

What's not included?

  • Calls to premium or non-geographic numbers
  • Calls or texts outside your roaming zone
  • International calls between different roaming zones

How can I avoid unexpected charges?

  • Put the device into flight mode if you do not want roaming services to be used
  • Turn off mobile data and data roaming in your device settings
  • Only switch connectivity back on when needed
  • Where possible, manually select an in-country network near borders

Why can unexpected charges happen near borders?

  • Your phone can automatically connect to another country's network
  • This is more common near borders or on islands
  • If that network is outside your included roaming zone, additional charges may apply
Where possible, manually select an in-country network to reduce the risk of unexpected charges.

How does the daily pass work?

  • The daily charge applies once qualifying usage takes place in an included destination
  • Qualifying usage is then taken from your UK bundled allowance, subject to fair usage policies
  • The applicable daily price depends on the zone and destination
Fair Usage Policy
  • Unlimited and bundled allowances are intended for normal business usage on smartphones or similar devices.
  • Unlimited plans are subject to a 650GB fair usage policy per billing month.
  • Roaming usage is subject to a 25GB fair usage policy on plans with allowances above 25GB.
  • Usage may be considered excessive if it includes continuous automated traffic or bulk messaging.
  • Use of SIMs in gateways or routing equipment may be treated as non-standard usage.
  • Excessive tethering or hotspot usage may fall outside normal business use.
  • Long-term or permanent roaming outside the UK may result in additional charges.
  • High volume automated calls or messaging may be restricted.
  • Roaming services are intended for periodic travel. If roaming usage exceeds domestic usage over a four-month period, additional charges may apply.
  • EE reserves the right to restrict services or apply additional charges if usage is deemed outside normal business use.
Always check the applicable tariff, roaming zone and destination before travelling, as charges and inclusions may vary depending on the selected plan. These rates apply to legacy tariffs signed up before 1st April 2026.
