What triggers the daily charge?

  • Making an outgoing call
  • Receiving an incoming call
  • Sending an SMS
  • Using mobile data
Receiving SMS messages does not trigger the daily charge.

What's included in the daily pass?

  • Use of your UK bundled minutes, texts and data allowance in the included destinations
  • Calls back to the UK
  • Calls within the country you are visiting
  • Incoming calls and texts
  • Voicemail and emergency calls

What's not included?

  • Calls to premium or non-geographic numbers
  • Calls or texts outside your roaming zone
  • International calls between different roaming zones
Out of bundle or out of zone usage will be charged at the relevant international or roaming rates.

How can I avoid daily charges?

  • Put the device into flight mode during the trip if you do not want roaming services to be used
  • Turn off mobile data and data roaming
  • Only switch connectivity back on when needed

Why can unexpected charges happen near borders?

  • Your phone can automatically connect to another country's network
  • This is more common near borders or islands
  • If that network is outside your included roaming zone, additional charges may apply
Where possible, manually select an in-country network to reduce the risk of unexpected charges.

How does the daily pass work?

  • The daily charge applies once qualifying usage takes place in an included destination
  • Qualifying usage is then taken from your UK bundled allowance, subject to fair usage policies
  • The pass works similarly across the included roaming destinations, with the applicable daily price depending on the destination and pass used
Fair Usage Policy*
  • Roaming services are designed for short trips rather than permanent use outside the UK.
  • If roaming usage becomes excessive compared with domestic UK usage, additional charges may apply.
  • Calls or texts that fall outside the included roaming allowance, or which are directed outside the roaming zone, will be charged at the relevant international rates.
  • Use of domestic data allowances while roaming is subject to fair usage limits.
  • Unlimited plans are subject to a 650GB fair usage policy per billing month.
  • Plans above 25GB are subject to a 25GB roaming fair usage policy while roaming.
